Cost Control Supervisor (Engineer)

To supervise the development and implementation of plans, standards, policies, and procedures related to cost and vendor relations, ensuring proper coherence between the different involved parties and alignment with project requirements, in addition to conducting activities related to ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of costs and plans.Planning & Cost Control SupervisionEffectively supervise the cost control function on the projects.Monitor and control subcontractor activities within the time and cost constraints against the target plan.Evaluate the time impact for scope variations/change orders and perform the time-cost related integrated change control.Supervise preparation and maintenance of accurate schedules, compliant estimates, budgets for the project, maintain project cost and work, fund management & reporting.Produce the monthly reports and presentations for client and senior management (External/Internal).Review and endorse the interim payment claim and provide supporting documents wherever required.Collect and interpret schedule data and provide output to management and project teams.Monitor actual performance against the schedule to identify delays, early and late completion.Interface with the project technical staff to define changes to schedules and identify variances from the original plan.Identify and evaluate associated schedules, resource conflicts, and potential cost impacts and issues.Work closely with subcontractors, evaluating their schedules and actively managing the schedules with them to ensure a successful outcome.Gather data, analyze information, develop conclusions, communicate recommendations clearly, and work effectively with others on a team.People Supervisory & DevelopmentSupervise and evaluate employees’ performance with continuous feedback on their assigned tasks and provide development opportunities to maximize the potential and engagement of employees.Supervise the talent pipeline through effective utilization of employee development programs, mentoring programs, career planning, and succession planning.Supervise employees’ changes through continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, taking best practices into account, changes in standards, and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.Self-ManagementDefine performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the manager and ensure that the goals are monitored and achieved during the course of the year.Take ownership of your own learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and working towards bridging the gaps through various means which go beyond just training.Understand the competencies relevant to the role, and work towards displaying as well as developing these effectively.Keep abreast of relevant professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional networks.Handle any additional tasks as per business needs.Policies, Processes & ProceduresFollow all relevant company and department policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management.7+ years of relevant experience in construction projects planning.PMP Certificate preferable.
