Manage, coordinate, and lead smaller, less complex projects independently with less oversight. Lead smaller project client meetings and take ownership of report structure and content. Coordinate teams to prepare project deliverables and applicable planning authorities requirements and coordinate various disciplines' technical input and output into a project or proposal. Initiate and drive innovative approaches to efficient project delivery (e.g., improved site analysis assessment or site planning due diligence and high-level developer assessment). Prepare/review and understand datasets to correlate population projections against market demands and supply. Prepare methodology for small scale proposals without direct supervision and carry out the necessary internal processes to obtain approvals for proposal submission. Lead specialty topics/interests in urban planning (e.g., wellness planning/placemaking). Stay up to date with current industry trends, approaches, tools, and methods. Qualifications: Proven leadership capability. Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning and Design, Urban Policy, Sustainable Development, or equivalent. Master's degree preferred. 10 years of related urban planning/master planning experience is required. Professional membership such as RTPI, AICP, PIA, CIP, SIP, or equivalent preferred. Broad general technical and business background, including experience in developing city visioning, theming, and benchmarking. Experience in policy development and governance is a plus. Experience of planning in the MENA region, especially in the GCC area. Good knowledge of data collection and research capabilities; ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data. Solid understanding of various scales of planning projects and ability to communicate effectively. Thorough understanding of local and international practices and test standards for urban planning. Ability to carry out baseline assessments, analyze various data, and develop criteria for the assessment of master plans. Ability to develop implementation and phasing planning. Sound understanding of planning/environmental governance and policy; able to communicate planning/environmental governance and policy and make recommendations to clients where relevant. Software requirements include InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong eye for detail coupled with a methodical and organized approach.
