Job Description:Mechanical Equipments (Rotating and Static) installation and final adjustment.Provide technical and supervisory support, guidance, mentoring, and management of the Sub-Contractor construction team.Determine manpower, tools, equipment, and material requirements for the craft.Evaluate and collaborate with other groups for equipment installation, electrical, and instruments to complete the installations.Develop daily craft assignments and review work accomplished.Supervise and direct subordinate personnel and craft in construction activities within the Mechanical Equipment discipline.Develop mechanical/piping craft loading and manpower forecasts.Support, promote, and champion a positive safety culture and ensure all parties are reminded of expectations regarding safety as the number one priority.Carry out weekly EHS inspection audits.Monitor permit and safe plan of action compliance.Continuously observe and monitor the interface of all construction activities for all disciplines, assisting in managing contractor resolution of interface coordination issues.Ensure safety requirements of the project are being met by all parties by supporting and encouraging safe work practices.Encourage and promote communication and teamwork.Monitor the daily working plan and review the work accomplished by each craft.Ensure the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.Review method statements, drawings, schedules, and other job safety documents.Prepare reports and forecasts, including summaries of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast.Monitor manpower, tools, and equipment usage on the site.Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.Coordinate activities with other disciplines or areas.Assist in developing strategies and initiatives to improve managing contractor and contractor performance.Assess existing contractor interface performance during construction works and help develop and improve activity simultaneous operations.Assist in review and appraisal of method statements and risk assessments for technical content and safety considerations.Assist managing contractor with monitoring the execution of works to ensure project quality requirements and standards are met, including monitoring of contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s).Input into coordination of interface between vendor representatives and contractor.Be prepared to work shift patterns (day or night).Assist in system walkdowns with contractor and client.Attend daily and weekly coordination meetings.Assist managing contractor to monitor progress and productivity being reported by contractors.Assist AP Construction Manager in developing detailed reporting of assessment of works and contractor performance.SkillsThe Mechanical Construction Superintendent requires the following skills and qualifications:Excellent construction site management skills.Familiarity with the equipment Rotating and Static Equipment's construction, final adjustment, and pre-commissioning.Familiarity with oxygen cleaning processes.Team player.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong and effective coordination abilities.Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks.Experience working in a multicultural project team.Familiar with construction drawings.Excellent scheduling and contract management skills.In-depth knowledge of scheduling software (P6 or Project) and Microsoft Excel.Knowledge of commercial tendering for large construction projects.Excellent technical report writing skills.Knowledge of construction tools and equipment such as structural drawings, materials, surveys, budgets, permits, safety aspects, and so on.The required Education and Experience:BS degree in Engineering.10-15 years of experience in the industry.#J-18808-Ljbffr
