Job Summary:Working in a multi-disciplinary team, an Engineering Manager is required to combine their leadership skill, technical experience and knowledge for the management of design associated with development of the NEOM Mountain region which consists of Recreational assets comprising of site wide infrastructure, Ski Slopes, Hiking and nature trails; Real Estate comprising of Hotels, Ultra Luxury mansions, Villages, lifestyle and resorts; and Major structures consisting of Vault, lake Tunnel and bow by the client’s design consultants. This role supports the Cluster Project Director and Engineering Director in managing and delivering the design of VALLEY cluster in accordance with the Programme and NEOM requirements. A key part of this role is design coordination and integration with multiple Designers and NEOM, and ensuring design delivery is within budget and schedule and suits Construction requirements. Coordinate and monitor the development of the Designers planned activities and provide progress reports to Cluster Project Director and Engineering Director, highlighting performance to plan. Working with the Directors, the Project Engineering Manager shall establish regular meetings with the Designer and other NEOM external stakeholder as required for managing, coordinating, and assuring the design. Plan and organize the review of Designer deliverables, interfacing with subject matter experts and design review teams.Major Responsibilities:Establish/manage the overall engineering schedule, budget, work quality, client satisfaction and contribute leadership, experience, and expertise in the solution of difficult problems.Review major changes or deviations in project scope, project material quantities, budget and schedule, and assist particularly with defining the change, obtaining accurate estimates of the hours involved, and recommending budget adjustment.Direct and provide technical and administrative guidance to assigned Project and/or discipline Engineers in the management of engineering work related to VALLEY cluster.Coordinate and manage the review of deliverables produced by the designer, including schedules, reports, hazard and risk logs.Coordinate and visit jobsite as required to resolve problems by interpreting drawings and documents.Chair weekly progress meetings and other technical meetings as required.Participate in engineering reviews including stage gate reviews, interdisciplinary design reviews and comments (IDR/IDC).Lead presentations to the Client team on all technical aspects for the work area package.Provide guidance and ensure engineering quality design and compliance with NEOM requirements, local design guidelines, local codes, international codes, and standards for independent engineering firms that are carrying out the detailed engineering design.Report progress, critical issues, and risks.Conduct annual performance reviews.Education and Experience Requirements:Civil Engineering Degree from an accredited university with 20+ years of relevant experience in design management related to recreational facilities and especially artificial lake, tunnel, Dams, Bridges, viaducts.Required Knowledge and Skills:Experience in planning, and experience in both design-build and design-bid-build forms of procurement with contractors and consultants.Thorough knowledge of discipline engineering techniques, the design of engineered systems and design calculations including Codes and Standards.Knowledge of current computer applications for engineering and design including appropriate knowledge of CAD (both 2-D and 3-D) e.g AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel and Adobe Design Suite software programs for managing design reviews.A professional license from a recognized licensing or registration board is preferred.Ability to solve problems by thinking laterally and be able to understand the requirements of client, entities and their EPMO’s.Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and manage relationships across a range of entities.Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.Proactive, supportive, inquisitive, challenging and result driven.Ability to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities and work with ambiguity.Promote the creation of a work environment, supported by leadership, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.#J-18808-Ljbffr
