We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Umm-al-Qaiwain. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, testing and maintaining mechanical systems and components. They will work on projects that involve researching, designing, developing, testing and debugging mechanical systems. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering along with at least 3 years of experience in the field. The Mechanical Engineer should have strong analytical skills and the ability to think logically as well as problem solving skills. They should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, be highly organized with excellent attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and be able to understand technical drawings. Knowledge of engineering software such as CAD is also desirable. The main duties of the role include: designing new mechanical systems; creating detailed drawings; analyzing existing designs; performing calculations; troubleshooting issues; testing new designs; writing reports; ensuring that products meet standards for safety and reliability; liaising with vendors regarding materials; providing technical support to other departments within the organization; attending meetings with clients or suppliers and participating in project teams when required.
