PURPOSE To support and assist the growth of construction market share through effective and timely response to all inbound customer enquiries. Also support outbound sales staff by setting up appointments with bigger customers and compiling a database of all construction companies in the area. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the operations process in the branch and plan for the smooth and most cost-effective running of administration and operations. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES Min. Matric / Diploma Internal sales experience (preferential) Fully computer literate Well spoken Good customer relations Self-motivated, organized and driven. Own Car Knowledge of vehicle tracking systems advantageous Proficiency in Microsoft programmes General Admin skills Internal sales (Data build advantageous) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS Assists customers with all inbound sales queries. Formulates quotations and all relevant paperwork for customers. Follows up on quotes and obtains orders. Loads contracts on the system and verifies information. Follows up on new orders/extensions of orders. Provides ops with relevant paperwork and accurate site address and contact person. Assists debtors department with outstanding payments from customers. Schedules appointments with bigger companies for outbound sales staff. Cold calling of dormant clients and new clients. Compiles and updates daily sales report. Compiles and updates monthly sales report. Responsible for off-hire capturing and reference numbers to customers. Before and after sales service (calling clients to confirm orders and delivery satisfaction). Compiling customer surveys. Reporting on operational assets including stock, vehicles, consumables, maintenance requirements of vehicles and stock. Assisting Operations Supervisor on planning and distribution of company assets to achieve maximum efficiency in servicing and collection/delivery of stock. Tracking of efficiency of vehicles, including fuel efficiency, vehicle cost, maintenance schedules, service benchmarks, vehicle tracking, services missed etc. Ensures the prevention of vehicle accidents through driver training including assessments, advance driver training, key efficiency measurable, etc. Reporting on Ctrack, sales, services missed stock movement and CRM as well as the sharing of best practices. Issuing of daily work and reporting daily to branch manager any variations from prescribed work schedule including collections, deliveries and services. Ensures staff are trained and motivated to assist them in growing and achieving goals in line with the company vision. Ensures all staff are competent to complete work (Medicals, Inductions and training). Manages clocking times and overtime on a daily basis, to ensure clocking accuracy and eliminate excess overtime.
