Duties & Responsibilities:Develop the broad vision to combine market requirements/opportunities with effective management of research and development processes to improve the business results aligned with the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of Research and Development, ensuring that these are cascaded down to the department to ensure vertical and horizontal integration of all requirements across AMTPJLead the achievement of Research and Development objectives through the management of the Research and Development Team located in KSA - effectively liaising with the Research and Development Director, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Quality Departments, setting individual objectives and managing performance of staffPrepare and consolidate the budget for the Research and Development in KSA to cover all resources e.g., R&D, facilities, manpower etc. and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated cost / revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance and identified potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized uponProvide the Development, Implementation, and Oversight of the Research and Development Policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls used in KSA covering all areas so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost effective service to the organization in a consistent mannerAdhere to all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls and make sure that all new development through the Research and Development is adequately addressed in the procedures to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitudeProvide direction and technical support to effectively implement appropriate manufacturing processes to support required product characteristics, which provides the highest levels of productivity and the capacity utilization in the plant, to accomplish the Business Plan and reliability goals for the plant, the business plan, and the Strategic Objectives for Research and developmentDefine an optimum organization structure for Research and Development and direct the development of departmental structures so that resources are optimally utilized, and work can take place in an efficient mannerLead and direct the management of change through continuous improvement of functional systems, processes and practices considering any best practices, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.Ensure that all Research & Development reports of AMTPJ are completed in a timely manner and comply with international principles of corporate governance and standards, company policies and standardsLiaise with Organizations located throughout the worldMaintain and grow AMTPJ Intellectual propertiesLead by ExampleCoordinate physical testing using large scale test frames.Maintain and grow AMTPJ Intellectual propertiesProvide updates, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate all Research and Development activities to the Director of Research and Development and (as required) to the Ex-Com and the Board of DirectorsDevelop action plan and provision of support for the attainment of company core HSE objectivesIdentify hazards and mitigating the risk that impact HSE PerformanceCollaborate with colleagues and other departments to promote continual improvement both in the products and in the quality management systemSkills & Knowledge:Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environmentProficiency in Arabic language would be a plusProfessional knowledge of the English language in speech and writingBuild and maintain good relationships internal and external to AMTPJGood team building skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood organizational skillsGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsGood decision-making skillsGeneral Management and Project Management skillsConcern for productivity and quality of workGood Change Management skillsStrategic thinking, maturity, resilience, flexibilityStrong computer skillsCorporate software application skills are requiredSelf-reliant and dependableWorking knowledge of best Practices and Technology of Tubular Products internationallyWorking knowledge of Research and Development, Product Technology, Quality Assurance and Control and ProcessWorking knowledge of Quality Management systemsWorking knowledge of operations and processes is requiredWorking knowledge of the Plant Manufacturing facilities is requiredEducation & Experience:Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical EngineeringPost graduate education may be considered in lieu of experience15+ years of experience in Product Development Technology, Quality Assurance and Control in the seamless tubular manufacturing industry15+ years of experience in design of connections for tubular products for the Oil and Gas (Energy) IndustryAwareness of Patents and Trademarks10+ years in a leadership role in technology domain#J-18808-Ljbffr
