JOB SUMMARY:AlBorg Diagnostics, a leading provider of diagnostic health services, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Lab Technician to join our team. As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing various technical tasks and laboratory examinations of specimens and body fluids.Your main responsibilities will include conducting chemical analyses of body fluids, setting up and maintaining medical laboratory equipment, collecting and preparing samples for analysis, and ensuring adherence to quality control policies and procedures.At AlBorg Diagnostics, we value accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable and timely test results. By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of improving healthcare outcomes through accurate and efficient laboratory testing.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform laboratory examinations of specimens and body fluids following approved laboratory proceduresConduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzersSet up, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipmentCollect and prepare blood and tissue samples from patients in accordance with aseptic principlesEnsure proper handling, processing, and storage of all specimensAdhere to quality control policies and document all quality control activitiesPerform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment as necessaryEnter and maintain accurate records of patient test resultsFollow established corrective action policies and procedures for tests that fall outside acceptable levels of performanceRequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities:Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, protocols, and equipmentStrong attention to detail and ability to accurately perform laboratory testsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasksKnowledge of medical terminology and laboratory regulationsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsMust be SCFHS certifiedExperience:Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting is preferredPhlebotomy certification is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
