Job Description:The Piping Supervisor requires the following skills and qualifications:Excellent construction site management skillsPiping Design, P&ID and IsometricsExcellent scheduling and contract management skillsIn-depth knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI, API, etc.)In-depth knowledge of scheduling software (P6 or Project) and Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of construction tools and equipment such as structural drawings, piping materials, surveys, budgets, permits, safety aspects, etc.Mechanical piping, supports, hanger and welding installations for A/GProvide technical and supervisory support, guidance, and mentoring to the Sub-Contractor construction teamDetermine manpower, tools, equipment, and material requirements for the craftEvaluate and collaborate with other groups for piping support installation, small and large bore pipe installation, insulation activities, along with flushing and pressure testingSupervise and direct subordinate personnel and craft in construction activities within the piping disciplineStrong knowledge of pipe fabrication and installation, pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure testing, and mechanical completionSupport, promote, and champion a positive safety culture and ensure all parties are reminded of expectations regarding safety being the number one priorityMonitor permit and safe plan of action complianceContinuously observe and monitor the interface of all construction activities for all disciplines, assisting in managing contractor in resolving any interface coordination issuesEnsure safety requirements of the project are being met by all parties by supporting and encouraging safe work practicesEncourage and promote communication and teamworkMonitor the daily working plan and review the work accomplished by each craftEnsure the most current design document is used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementationPrepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecastMonitor manpower, tools, and equipment usage on the siteMonitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedulesCoordinate activities with other disciplines or areasAssist in review and appraisal of method statements and risk assessments for technical content and safety considerationsSupervise the contractor's execution of the works to ensure project quality requirements and standards are met, including monitoring of contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s)Be prepared to work shift patterns (day or night)Assist in system walkdowns with contractor and clientAttend daily and weekly coordination meetingsAssist managing contractor to monitor progress and productivity being reported by contractorsAssist AP Construction Manager in developing detailed reporting of assessment of works and contractor performanceSkills:The required Education and Experience:BS degree in Engineering5-10 years of experience in the industry#J-18808-Ljbffr
