Role Summary:Saudi Arabia Railways is looking for an experienced Intermodal Facility Operations Manager to join the team in the eastern province to manage and oversee the intermodal facility operations strategy.The role holder will also be responsible for monitoring/overseeing ongoing operational activities, maintaining long-term strategic partnerships/relationships with seaport/dry port operators, and ensuring safe and efficient operations. Additionally, the role holder will be responsible for growing the Freight Intermodal Facility Operations Business through achieving long-term Revenue growth from existing & new contracts.Core Responsibilities:Oversees/Leads the Operations between seaports and dry ports on the role’s respective level, thereby ensuring safe and efficient operations management for SAR’s intermodal traffic.Devises and approves Risk Mitigation Plans in coordination with the Area and ensures compliance to risk mitigation procedures.Oversees operational reports on incidents, general issues and failures and ensures corrective action is being taken by the Area Managers with least impact on business continuity as possible.Manages long-term relationships with seaport/dry port operators for effective fulfillment of business requirements.Leads periodic Audits to assess performance of operators and identifies corrective measures/operational enhancements as required.Liaises primarily with Freight Rolling Stock Maintenance and Freight Planning & Technical Office Directors to ensure there is no adverse impact on Business.Leads the long-term growth of the Freight Intermodal Facility Operations business through leveraging existing and new business contracts.Oversees execution of additional capacity in a safe and timely manner, ensuring no impact on on-going operations.Ensures dry port operators fulfill requirements securing proper offloading, customs preparation, and delivery of goods.Strategic and Managerial Contribution:Develops the strategy for the Freight Intermodal Facility Operations Department and guides the development of strategy for the reporting departments, in line with the stated Freight CFU / SBU priorities.Oversees the preparation of the annual budget and annual operating plan for the Freight Intermodal Facility Operations and reporting departments in alignment with the Freight CFU / SBU budget and operating plans.Manages the annual budget spend as per the annual operating plan for the Freight Intermodal Facility Operations Department and monitors deviations, if any.Measures performance against financial and strategic KPIs for the Freight Intermodal Facility Operations Department and provides guidance for the achievement of targets.Qualifications & Expertise:Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Operations, transport logistics, or any relevant fieldDesirable: Master’s degree in operations, transport logistics, or any relevant fieldYears of Experience: Desired are 7-10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a similar role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
