Our client is a Global market leader that provides advanced solutions for water purification, treatment, and management, leveraging their cutting-edge patented technology to deliver sustainable and efficient water treatment solutions that address global challenges.We are working with them to source a Plant Operations Manager to help run their manufacturing operations in Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the GM/Plant Manager, you will be responsible for driving safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will be focused on maximizing plant reliability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture. As Operations Manager, you will lead technical reviews, maintain an active field presence, develop staff, and support emergency response preparedness with an emphasis on safety regulations supporting safe handling & storage of hazardous materials.To be successful, you will have experience of managing 24/7 manufacturing shift operations and will be able to demonstrate a previous track record in Chemical manufacturing processes & procedures, with previous experience in any of: Chemical / Lubricant / Petrochemical / Refinery plant operations and must be currently based in/near the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.Key Responsibilities:Partner with the Plant Leader to develop and implement a strong safety, process safety, and environmental improvement plan to achieve EH&S goals and ensure regulatory compliance.Maximize plant reliability by reducing unplanned events and supporting safe operations. Teach and encourage reliable operations behaviors.Advocate for Life Saving Rules within the facility, demonstrating commitment through personal behavior and coaching. Provide reinforcement and follow-up for deviations.Ensure thorough technical review of work permits and plans to apply Life Saving Rules appropriately.Allocate capital to improve environmental compliance and reduce safety hazards. Implement controls for safe and reliable operations.Maintain an active field presence, routinely assessing work activities to understand plant needs and personnel behaviors.Prepare the operation team for immediate response situations, analyzing process conditions and guiding responses.Inspire and motivate the organization through leadership and strong team connections, fostering an empowered organization and maintaining a servant leadership mindset.Maintain and improve the training matrix for operators, ensuring knowledge retention within the facility.Work with Human Resources to hire skilled operators and ensure comprehensive training for success and expertise.Develop operation employees through goal-setting, performance management, and development plans.Resolve operational discipline issues, escalating as needed.Coach First Line Leaders, Activity Coordinators, and Operators to excel in their roles.Hold accountability for return on investment of projects and ensure compliance with financial reporting practices.Drive continuous improvement by actively participating in opportunity analysis sessions and plant improvements.Partner with improvement teams to agree on and achieve proposed improvement plans, ensuring sustained improvements through appropriate controls.Skills:BS degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing or related experience.Process Safety Management (High Hazard Process) experience required.Proven influential leadership skills.Previous experience managing people.Experience in water purification technology/chemical plant operations preferred.Six Sigma or Lean skills beneficial.Proficiency in Arabic and English required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
